To represent health care professionals dedicated to improving the lives of women with pelvic floor disorders, such as pelvic prolapse and bowel and bladder control problems. By encouraging research and education, AUGS will promote the highest standards of practice in the prevention and treatment of these disorders in an ethical, safe, and effective manner.
AUGS Objectives:
- Disseminate information regarding clinical and basic science progress in urogynecology.
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, advances and experiences.
- Encourage and facilitate original research and collaborative research.
- Aid in didactic and clinical training for medical school faculty, practicing physicians, residents-in-training and allied health professionals, such as nurses, nurse practitioners and physical therapists.
