The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and AUGS offer an annual scholarship to subsidize attendance and participation in the Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University. This shared scholarship is open to members in good standing of both organizations. The award is to be used toward the cost of tuition, travel, housing, and subsistence during the period of the Course. A recipient has already been chosen for the 2008 course scheduled for June 23 - 28 at Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts. 2008 ACS/AUGS Scholarship Recipient

AUGS is pleased to announce S. Renee Edwards, MD, as the 2008 recipient of the American College of Surgeons (ACS)/AUGS annual scholarship for the Executive Leadership Program in Health Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Dr. Edwards has also been appointed to the AUGS Government Relations Committee as a result of her accepting this joint ACS/AUGS membership award, and will attend the 2008 course, scheduled for June 23 - 28, 2008 at Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts.
 
Again, AUGS congratulates Dr. Edwards on this award and appreciates her participation at this important educational health policy course.
