Educational Goals and Objectives
Annual meeting attendees will:

  • Describe and discuss the pathophysiology of pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and sexual dysfunction.
  • Identify risk factors and the epidemiology of pelvic floor disorders
  • Understand the impact of pelvic floor disorders on the quality of life of women that suffer these conditions
  • Evaluate standard and new evaluation tools to assess and quantify pelvic floor disorders
  • Compare and evaluate non-surgical and surgical treatments used to manage pelvic floor disorders

Continuing Medical Education

Continuing Medical EducationThe AUGS 29th Annual Scientific Meeting has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Michigan Medical School and the Urogynecologic Society. The University of Michigan Medical School is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Michigan Medical School designates this educational activity for a maximum of 23.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. This maximum number includes post graduate courses and roundtable discussions. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the AUGS 29th Annual Scientific Meeting.

Continuing Nursing Education

The University of Michigan Health System’s Educational Services for Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Physical Therapy Continuing Education Units

Physical Therapy CEUs will be designated by the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.

21.5 continuing education credits are offered for all official AUGS educational programs.

Certificates of Attendance

Individual certificates of attendance were issued with your meeting registration materials. A full listing of registrants for the annual meeting and independent courses were issued to the University of Michigan for their tracking purposes.
