Support the AUGS Foundation Research Fund — Make a Donation

Since 1998, the AUGS Foundation has funded more than $1.3 million in grants to support junior researchers in the field and promises innovative research regarding the causes, prevention, cure, and treatment of pelvic floor disorders.

Our goal is a bold one — to reach $1 million in just two years for an endowment to protect our research grants program for the future — but the ability to generate substantial investment income gives us the resources needed to advance research in our field and encourage a new generation of colleagues.

Every contribution to the AUGS Foundation builds a stronger future for Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and is a great way to honor the work and passion of those we respect. We are grateful to our donors for their generous support of the AUGS Foundation.

Testimonials from Past AUGS Foundation Research Grant Recipients

The AUGS Foundation Grant played an important role in allowing me to collect pilot data needed for obtaining additional NIH funding to support my research. The commitment of AUGS to advance research in this field is evident through its support of junior faculty starting a career in research - Vivian W. Sung, M.D., M.P.H.

During this time of limited federal funding for critical research, the AUGS Foundation has remained at the forefront by providing pilot funding for critical research in FPM&RS. In addition, this funding has me continue my research career while also growing my clinical practice. I hope to present this research to the AUGS community as well as other national audiences next year. - Gina M. Northington, M.D., Ph.D.

The AUGS Foundation has been instrumental in allowing me to jump-start my career as an academic urogynecologist and independent investigator.  I was fortunately given access to funding, via the AUGS Foundation Fellows Research Award grant, which has allowed me to initiate a high quality randomized controlled trial.  This phenomenal opportunity is one I might not have had without the AUGS Foundation, and I am very appreciative of the incredible support of the premier professional organization for our field. - Autumn L. Edenfield, M.D.

AUGS has played an instrumental role in supporting my research career during its early development.  AUGS’ investment in young investigators will have big dividends as research is advanced in our field through time.  I am very grateful. - Tajnoos Yazdany, M.D.
