AUGS Leadership Program

    AUGS has developed a formal leadership program that aims to identify future leaders of the organization with a special emphasis on junior members. A curriculum has been designed by Dr. Deborah Myers, Past President and Dr. Adam Steinberg, Membership Committee Chair. Click here to view the curriculum.

    The first year of the program focuses on didactic learning (monthly webinars and project work) and the second year will focuses on involvement and engagement within AUGS through various group efforts such as a committee, special interest group, task force, abstract review, and/or sub-committee work. 

    Goals and Objectives of the Program

    • Identify future leaders of the organization with special emphasis on junior members
    • Mentor junior members to become AUGS leaders
    • Educate participants on AUGS history, governance structure and what it means to be a volunteer leader

    Applicant Requirements

    • AUGS Members in good standing for at least 3 years
    • Members who are active in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery clinically or through basic science
    • Between 3-15 years of training who have demonstrated leadership skills within organized medicine or community involvement and
      have an interest in developing these skills
