Guidelines and Position Statements

    The AUGS Guidelines and Statements Committee develops and disseminates guidelines, committee opinions, and position statements that promote the highest quality patient care in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.

    All documents are published in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, the official journal of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). Information is also disseminated to the urogynecologic community and made publically available on the AUGS website, www.augs.org.

    If you have a recommendation for a future topic, please submit your topic with a justification to info@augs.org and the Guidelines and Statements Committee will take it into consideration.

    Clinical Practice Guidelines

    Aims to guide decisions and criteria regarding the diagnosis, management, and treatment for specific clinical circumstances.  

    Committee Opinions and Practice Bulletins

    Represents an assessment of emerging issues in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and are reviewed regularly for accuracy.

    Focuses on key issues affecting the field of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
