Association of Anticholinergic Medication Use and Cognition in Women With Overactive Bladder
AUGS is currently seeking volunteers to serve on a Writing Group to develop a Clinical Consensus Statement on Association of Anticholinergic Medication Use and Cognition in Women With Overactive Bladder. Support from AUGS staff will be provided.
This document will revise and replace the 2017 publication on this topic to include studies that have published since the 2017 iteration. These studies support the correlation and increased risk of dementia/cognitive dysfunction with anticholinergic use. Furthermore, the revision will include updated data on prescribing trends, insurance coverage trends for overactive bladder (OAB) medications, and additional beta-3 agonist options for OAB.
AUGS is seeking a writing group chair and writing group members. Participation requires the following:
- regular communication via email
- monthly conference calls
- completion of assignments
- expected 12 months commitment
Please submit a letter of interest stating your qualifications for the position, a brief CV, declaration of interest in the writing group chair or member position, and financial and intellectual conflict of interest disclosures.
