ABLE Lectureship

The Anarcha, Betsey, Lucy, et al. (ABLE) Lecture is an annual lectureship that will be held during PFD Week. The lectureship is focused on raising awareness and increasing knowledge on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness (DEI) issues in the medical community. The lecture includes two parts – a 30-minute lecture plus a follow-up “Meet the Presenter” interactive discussion to engage meeting participants in dialogue on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Lecturer Criteria

  1. Advocate for DEI issues that can affect the medical community
  2. Experienced and dynamic speaker
  3. Intended for this lecturer to be from outside of the urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery field, however urogynecologists could be considered under special circumstances 

Lecture Specifics

  1. $2,000 honorarium
  2. Travel and hotel accommodations (two nights) for recipient to attend the meeting
  3. Recipient is provided with a plaque in recognition of their lecture
