The Editor-in-Chief of Urogynecology has made a commitment to provide regular opportunities for participation in the journal’s editorial activities. Effective July 1, 2026, new positions will be filled for the following roles: Assistant Editor, Junior Editor, Statistical Editor, At-Large Editorial Board Member.
Submission Process: Interested individuals should submit the following:
- Letter of Interest describing:
- applicant’s professional goals related to the role and qualifications for the position
- other commitments to editorial boards or journals
- any relevant financial and intellectual conflicts of interests
- Updated curriculum vitae

Assistant Editor (3 positions, 3-year term)
- Act as a key ambassador for the journal
- Solicit quality manuscripts
- Develop Editorials/Commentaries with Associate Editors, as needed
- Participate on bimonthly Editor calls (approximately every 8 weeks, 3rd Friday of the month)
- Complete high-quality manuscript reviews (2–3 per month)
- Engage with Urogynecology’s social media initiatives
- Provide general assistance to the Editor-in-Chief
- Optimize reviewer and author experience
- Assist with mentoring Peer Reviewer Academy participants
- Contribute to editorial content (e.g., “At the Scrub Sink”)
- Participate in annual virtual Editorial Board meeting
- Maintain active AUGS membership
Junior Editor (1 position, 2-year term)
- Early career member (up to 3 years out of fellowship)
- Interest in social media content development
- Complimentary annual meeting registration
- Oversee development of visual abstracts
- Support social media initiatives and outreach
- Assist Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors
- Participate in annual virtual Editorial Board meeting
- Maintain active AUGS membership
Statistical Editor (1 position, 3-year term)
- Serve as a key journal ambassador
- Consult on statistical aspects of submissions
- Participate on calls as needed
At-Large Editorial Board (4 positions, 3-year term)
- Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for the journal
- Generate ideas to advance and promote the journal
- Recruit quality manuscripts
- Provide feedback on website and online presence
- Suggest contributors aligned with the journal’s mission
- Participate in annual virtual Editorial Board meeting
- Mentor Peer Reviewer Academy participants
- Complete high-quality manuscript reviews (2–3 per month)
- Support outreach and social media initiatives
- Maintain active AUGS membership
