This 2-day hands-on cadaver course is designed for 2nd and 3rd-year fellows in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery who are well-versed in basic pelvic surgery and looking for advanced training. The course focuses on complex vaginal and laparoscopic procedures, including Martius flaps, retropubic surgery, ureteral management, prolapse repair (with and without grafts), mesh complication management, neuromodulation, and botulinum toxin.
Nationally recognized faculty will lead didactic sessions, case discussions, and daily cadaver labs (three hours each), with fellows rotating in small groups for close interaction and demonstration of surgical anatomy and techniques. The emphasis is on exposure and learning rather than completing full dissections.
By the end of the course, participants will have expanded knowledge and greater confidence in applying minimally invasive surgical approaches to challenging pelvic floor disorders.
