Call for Clinical Practice Statement Writing Group Volunteers

Pregnancy and Delivery After Procedures for Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse

AUGS is currently seeking volunteers to serve on a Writing Group to develop a Clinical Practice Statement on Pregnancy and Delivery After Procedures for Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse. Support from AUGS staff will be provided.

This document will revise and replace the 2020 Clinical Guidance publication, Pregnancy in Women With Prior Treatments for Pelvic Floor Disorders, to focus on pregnancy and delivery outcomes including maternal, pelvic floor, and fetal, following procedures for correction of urinary incontinence (UI) and/or pelvic organ prolapse (POP).

UI/POP surgical or procedural treatment for quality of life is often requested during reproductive years. This document would support clinician counseling and patient-informed decision making.  The proposed statement will develop quality guidelines about preoperative counseling around pregnancy and delivery after UI or POP procedures.

AUGS is seeking a writing group chair and writing group members. Participation requires the following:

  • regular communication via email
  • monthly conference calls
  • completion of assignments
  • expected 12 months commitment

Please submit a letter of interest stating your qualifications for the position, a brief CV, declaration of interest in the writing group chair or member position, and financial and intellectual conflict of interest disclosures.

Deadline: August 5, 2025

Please log in to the AUGS Member Portal to complete the volunteer form.
