Call for Topic Proposals

Call for Topic Proposals Deadline: March 20, 2024

In an effort to continue the evolution and development of urogynecology-focused publications, AUGS is seeking input from its members about important clinical guidance topics that are needed in the field. Topics submitted should be important, feasible, and of high priority. Feasible topics are those that have a reasonable evidence base and a clearly defined scope.  High priority topics are those that would improve health outcomes, reduce variations in care, and/or reduce the burden of disease.

Those members interested in contributing ideas, are invited to complete a Topic Proposal* form. The Publications Committee will review all topic proposal recommendations and determine a prioritization list for the Board’s review and input. All accepted topic proposal forms will have independent writing groups assigned to advance the document forward.

This is a great opportunity for our member community to help shape the content for AUGS in 2024 and beyond. We look forward to receiving your input!

To prepare your topic proposal, download the proposal form and email it to membership@augs.org. Please direct any questions to membership@augs.org.

*Should the topic proposal be accepted, the Publications Committee will solicit applications from the AUGS membership at large for potential participation on the writing group. For the selection process, the committee’s objective in selecting the writing group chair is to ensure that the chair has extensive knowledge in the arena and has a track record of leading writing groups or has participated as a senior author in several writing groups, so his/her experience is established. The committee counterbalances the chair with the appointment of a variety of writing group members. Note that once a topic proposal is submitted it cannot be withdrawn. While AUGS will make every attempt to build a fair, balanced, and inclusive writing group, AUGS retains the final decision as to the appointment of the writing group chair and members.
