Grant Reviewer Application
AUGS is seeking volunteers to serve as grant reviewers for the 2026 Foundation Grant cycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for both seasoned grant reviewers and those looking to gain review experience. Grant Reviewers are assigned to one of two review sections, Basic Science and/or Clinical/Educational research, and work closely with the AUGS Grants Committee Chair and/or Vice Chair who serve as section leads.
Responsibilities include:
- Diligently serving as a reviewer for the assigned grant cycle. Typically, 3-4 total grants are assigned per reviewer. A primary, secondary and tertiary reviewer is assigned to each grant.
- Effectively providing feedback and input on the assigned applicants utilizing AUGS’ online grant review system.
- Actively participating on communications and conference call as needed. Typically, up to two calls total during the review cycle.
- Adhering to the Conflict-of-Interest Policy. Please note that if a fellow or junior faculty from your institution submits a grant application, you will not be selected as a reviewer during the same grant cycle. AUGS strives to minimize conflicts of interests throughout the review process whenever possible.
Deadline to apply: February 10, 2026
