Engage with AUGS

Our members are the driving force behind our organization and urogynecology. We invite you to take an active role in AUGS through our many volunteer opportunities. Whether you’re interested in contributing your expertise, sharing your voice, or mentoring the next generation, there’s a place for you here.

Nomination and Recruitment Committee: Call for Volunteers

AUGS strives to recruit a diverse Board of Directors with strong leadership competencies. We seek board members with a combination of experience and organizational capability, as well as the ability to be forward-thinking and strategic in their service to the association.

To further our commitment to transparency and inclusiveness in the board selection process, AUGS has established a Nomination and Recruitment Committee. In addition to the members of the Governance Committee, this new group will include three at-large members selected from the broader membership. Including these members will help ensure diverse perspectives and more representative engagement in the board candidate review process.

Urogyn Advocacy Network

The Urogyn Advocacy Network is open to all AUGS members with an interest in supporting AUGS advocacy efforts. There are no term limits and members can sign up and/or remove themselves from the network at any time. Members who join the Urogyn Advocacy Network will be called upon as needed to:

  • Amplify key advocacy messages
  • Share expertise and perspectives
  • Contribute to targeted, issue-focused initiatives that advance AUGS’ mission

Mentoring Program

Share your experience and expertise as you guide upcoming urogynecologists. Several opportunities are available throughout the year to engage with residents, fellows and early career members around topics related to professional development, career advancement, integration of research, work-life balance, and optimization of clinical practice.

Grant Proposal Reviewers

Play a crucial role in advancing research by reviewing submitted grant proposals. Use your expertise to assess the quality, feasibility, and impact of proposed projects, helping to fund promising ideas.

The next application cycle will open in January 2027.

Call for Topic Proposals

In an effort to continue the evolution and development of urogynecology-focused publications, AUGS seeks input from its members about important clinical guidance topics that are needed in the field throughout the year.

Writing Groups

Contribute to the development of guidelines, position papers, reports, and other important documents. Writing group members collaborate with subject matter experts to publish high-impact resources in Urogynecology for the profession.

Committees

Join a standing or ad hoc committee to support the Society’s mission. Committee members contribute expertise, shape initiatives, and collaborate with peers to advance our strategic goals.  Committee terms typically run from January to December.

Next call for volunteers will open in June 2026.

Board of Directors

Serve in a key leadership role by helping to set strategic priorities, ensure good governance, and represent the voice of our members. Board members are vital to steering the future of the organization.

Next call for Board nominations will open in June 2026.

Annual Meeting Abstract Reviewers

Help shape the content of our flagship annual event by reviewing and scoring submitted abstracts. Reviewers ensure high standards and help highlight innovative and relevant work in the field.
