Whether you’re interested in contributing your expertise, sharing your voice, or mentoring the next generation, there’s a place for you here.
Committees
Join a standing or ad hoc committee to support the Society’s mission. Committee members contribute expertise, shape initiatives, and collaborate with peers to advance our strategic goals. Committee terms typically run from January to December.

Board of Directors
Serve in a key leadership role by helping to set strategic priorities, ensure good governance, and represent the voice of our members. Board members are vital to steering the future of the organization.

Writing Groups
Contribute to the development of guidelines, position papers, reports, and other important documents. Writing group members collaborate with subject matter experts to publish high-impact resources in Urogynecology for the profession.

Call for Topic Proposals
In an effort to continue the evolution and development of urogynecology-focused publications, AUGS seeks input from its members about important clinical guidance topics that are needed in the field throughout the year.
Next call for proposals will open in February 2026.
Annual Meeting Abstract Reviewers
Help shape the content of our flagship annual event by reviewing and scoring submitted abstracts. Reviewers ensure high standards and help highlight innovative and relevant work in the field.
The 2026 Annual Meeting abstract reviewer process will open in the Fall of 2025.
Grant Proposal Reviewers
Play a crucial role in advancing research by reviewing submitted grant proposals. Use your expertise to assess the quality, feasibility, and impact of proposed projects, helping to fund promising ideas.
Reviewer applications will open in January 2026.
Mentoring Program
Share your experience and expertise as you guide upcoming urogynecologists. You may participate as a small group (“pod”) facilitator for early career members, meeting virtually several times through the year. Additionally, there are opportunities to present during resident and fellows programming scheduled throughout the year around relevant and timely topics.
Mentor applications will open in January 2026.
