</tr>

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the AUGS Board, I am delighted to share that as of April 1st, Stacey Barnes is officially the new CEO of AUGS. Stacey has worked as the interim CEO of AUGS for the last year and has done an outstanding job. Stacey has extensive experience in working with non-profit organizations and brings a new perspective to the Society. The Board could not be happier that Stacey agreed to take on this role permanently.

Below, I have included a note from Stacey that she would like to share with the urogynecology community.

Sincerely,

Jennifer M. Wu, MD, MPH

AUGS President

Dear AUGS Members,

I am thrilled to have been selected as AUGS CEO and look forward to continuing to serve AUGS and its members. It is an exciting time at AUGS as we explore new opportunities for growing member engagement, education, and overall value.

As I recently shared with the Board, I am deeply committed to being responsive to member needs, ensuring AUGS is a welcoming society where members and volunteers feel appreciated and supported, and helping the Society rebuild its reserves.

My personal goals for the coming year fall into three key areas that I believe are vital to the success and vitality of our Society: Member Engagement and Value, Relationships, and Organizational Vitality.

Member Engagement and Value:

  • Being responsive to member needs and feedback, ensuring that AUGS continues to evolve in ways that benefit you, our valued members.
  • Improving the member experience by investing in updated technology and engagement strategies to enhance your overall experience with AUGS.
  • Building upon the energy and excitement of PFD Week 2024 as we look ahead to October in Washington, DC.

Relationships:

  • Ensuring that AUGS remains a welcoming Society where each member and volunteer feels genuinely appreciated and supported.
  • Strengthening our relationships with industry partners, as we recognize the mutual benefits of collaboration and shared goals.
  • Seeking opportunities to collaborate with other societies that share our vision and objectives.
  • Acknowledging and appreciating our incredible staff team.

Organizational Vitality:

  • Ensuring the financial health and long-term stability of AUGS and building upon the financial success we achieved in FY 2024.
  • Shepherding the Society leadership through the development of our next strategic plan, ensuring diverse perspectives and input is considered throughout the planning process.

I am grateful for the Board’s confidence in me to continue in this role and look forward to a bright future for AUGS!

Sincerely,

Stacey Barnes

AUGS CEO
